A "classic" stable putter from our kiwi cousins. Beadless, so a good alternative to the Tui or Ruru if you prefer a beadless putter. You can expect a stable flight with a nice, gentle fade.

A great one for throwing laser straight shots in the premium plastics or a grippy, controllable putter in magma.

PDGA Approved: Yes
Weight: 168-176g

You can also get this disc in our Pro Deluxe and Pro Starter disc & bag bundles!

The RPM Tākapu is molded in 5 standard plastic types and with many colours and effects. It is PDGA approved to 176g. The Tākapu has a slow and very stable flight with a gentle late fade. The bead-less rim and rounded nose fits perfectly into your hand and helps eliminate wobble. When thrown with high power they will hold their line like a laser beam. The Magma and Strata varieties feel silky and grippy and Magma comes in 3 grades of stiffness. With a similar depth to the Ruru, they make great putters. Watch the videos above to see our disc expert, Jackson Sullivan, review the Tākapu.

Model #: PA3
PDGA Approved: Yes
Diameter: 212mm

The Tākapu, or Gannet in English, is a stable putt and approach disc in the RPM range. In the wild, the tākapa has bold colours, rakish lines, and a wing span of almost two metres. Gannets are not only among the most elegant of birds but are also masters of the wind and attack their prey with the upmost precision.

These birds are plunge divers and spectacular fishers, plunging into the ocean at high speed. They eat mainly squid and forage fish that school near the surface. The species faces few natural or man-made threats, and since its population is growing it is considered to be a least-concern species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Strata

RPM’s base plastic
Strata is opaque, tacky and medium stiffness. This plastic will break in faster, similar to most base plastics.

Cosmic

Semi translucent premium plastic
It's a tough, grippy, partially see-through plastic that comes in a range of stiffness and with a variety of colours and effects. Will break in more slowly, so will maintain its original flight path for longer. We find this to be the most stable plastic from RPM.

Atomic

Tough opaque premium plastic
It's a tough, grippy, opaque plastic that comes in a range of stiffness and with a variety of colours and effects. Will break in more slowly, so will maintain its original flight path for longer. This will often be the easiest to plastic to spot from a distance.

Magma RPM's premium putting plastic
It's a rubbery, softer feeling plastic. Silky and grippy and comes in soft, medium and hard. This is RPM's grippiest plastic, particularly in the rain.
